Stables Getting Its TLC - Day 4

Another good day on the Stables Block
but as the project is still on-going it has
not apeared on our main website yet

http://Mayfield-Roofing.co.uk

You may recall what the front of the barn looked like

The timbers were rotted at the ends and therefore
had to all be replaced

Not very photogenic I am afraid and the images
do not tell the whole story of the amount of work
that went into this part of the transformation

However, you must agree that the finished section
was worth all the hard work that went in to it:

Once the project is complete, the whole story
will be told on out main website

Mayfield Roofing

That is where you can peruse other completed projects

Refurbishing Stables - Day 3

Good progress again today and thank goodness
all of the mess and rubbish is now finished with;
at last!

Here are a few more details of The Stables Project

When it is all finished, the complete story
will be told in full, on our main website
http://Mayfield-Roofing.co.uk

This is The Barn Roof; first thing this morning

And this is what it looked like this afternoon

The Next Image shows the front of The Barn
as it looked like this yesterday

Notice how the timbers are all perished where they
reach the ground.  The wood is also rotted where it
it bedded in the brickwork!

I wonder what was holding it up?

And this is what the front of The Barn looks like
this evening

The pointing to the brick wall has now all been raked out;
that is the worst of the mess out of the way now

Tomorrow, we can start the repointing of the brick wall
and finish all the edge details to the roof sheeting

Don't forget to watch the report of the whole project
on our main website

SnowGuards Fitted Above a Conservatory

If you are having a Conservatory fitted, it is always a good idea
to fit Snow Guards to your roof first

To fit them later can be very expensive

If you do not fit them at all, your Conservatory may be damaged by snow
or tiles and other debris falling from your roof

On our blog http://RoofsR.us we report on one such project
in the beautifully picturesque English Cotswolds

You can read the whole story here:

Asbestos Roof Leaking? What's the Safe Legal Solution?

There must be thousands of Sheds and Garages up and down the UK
with roofs of asbestos cement.  Many of these, are now leaking

What is the safe and legal solution?

On our main website http://Mayfield-Roofing.co.uk

we tell the story of how we transformed this roof:

All in one day, into this:

And that included adding insulation to make it a 'Warm' Roof

You can read the complete story here: What To Do With My Asbestos Roof
